The final stretch
The last 80 metres are on a dirt track, which can get a bit tricky — especially in bad weather.
If needed, you can leave your car in the small parking area just before the fork in the road and walk the last stretch to the cottage.
One more thing — in winter, especially when there’s heavy snow, we’d recommend fitting snow chains on your tyres.

How many guests can Chata na Skarpie accommodate?
The cottage comfortably sleeps up to 8 guests, with a maximum of 10.
Is there internet access at the cottage?
Yes, free WiFi is available throughout the cottage.
Are there any facilities for children?
Yes! There's a children's play area in the garden to keep the little ones entertained. Inside, we have a high chair, a travel cot, and kids' shows available for a cosy bedtime wind-down.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept card payments and bank transfers. Cash is also welcome on arrival.
Are pets allowed?
Sorry, we don't accept pets.
Can we host a stag or hen party?
Sorry, Chata na Skarpie isn't the right fit for stag or hen parties. It's a peaceful place — perfect for relaxing with family or friends.
Is there air conditioning at Chata na Skarpie?
No, there's no air conditioning — but honestly, you won't need it. Being up in the mountains means it stays pleasantly cool even in the height of summer.
Are any discounts available for guests?
Yes, we offer a few different discounts:
Returning guests: 5% off
Stays of 6+ nights: 10% off
Stays of 13+ nights: 15% off
Is firewood available on site for the fireplace or hot tub?
Yes, firewood for the fireplace and hot tub is included in the price. Firewood for the fire pit is available at an extra cost.
Is there a washing machine on site?
Yes, we have a laundry room with a washer-dryer and an ironing board with iron — all available for guests to use.
Does the cottage have a heating system?
Yes, the cottage has gas central heating throughout. There's also a fireplace in the living room for those extra cosy evenings.
Are toiletries provided?
Yes, the bathrooms are stocked with basic toiletries — soap, toilet paper and a hairdryer.
Do I need to bring my own bedding and towels?
No need — bedding and towels are all provided. Bathrobes are also available for a small extra fee.
How do I make a booking?
To make a booking, simply fill in the form on our website. You can also reach us by phone or email — you'll find all our contact details on the site.
Is there a minimum stay requirement?
Yes, the minimum stay is 2 nights. During holiday periods this may vary.
Is there parking on site?
Yes, we have a private, free parking area on site with space for four cars.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 4:00 PM and check-out is by 10:00 AM.
Is late check-out available?
Yes, late check-out may be possible if there's no booking straight after yours. Just get in touch in advance and we'll do our best to sort it out.
Is smoking allowed at Chata na Skarpie?
Smoking is not allowed anywhere inside the cottage. If you'd like to smoke, please use the designated outdoor area and dispose of cigarette ends responsibly. Thanks for understanding!
Are there any board games or other entertainment available?
Yes, there are board games as well as video game consoles available for guests.
Can I pay with a tourist voucher?
Sorry, we don't accept tourist vouchers.
When will I get my deposit back?
The deposit will be returned within 7 working days of your stay, once we've checked the property. It'll be sent straight back to your bank account — we appreciate your patience!
How long does it take to heat up the hot tub?
Heating up the hot tub can take anywhere from 3 to 5 hours, depending on the outside temperature and how much wood is used. We usually try to have it ready for when you arrive, so you can jump straight in!
Does the cottage offer a cleaning service during the stay?
We don't offer mid-stay cleaning. The cottage is cleaned before your arrival and after your departure.
